A year-long mosaic of videos, photos, art, and words.
As a long-time Dire Straits fan, I was pleased to see the collaboration between Mark Knopfler and Emmy. He'd already done an album (Neck & Neck) with Chet Atkins and seems to have been stuck on Nashville in a big way. "Why Worry" is an absolutely gorgeous song (and the Brothers in Arms album is in my Top 10), and here the combination of Emmy's voice and Mark's Strat is perfect. Good pick!
The Everly Brothers did a fine version on their "Born Yesterday" album, one of a series of excellent albums after their reunion. Theirs has the added bonus of Albert Lee playing guitar.
Roy: BIA is a wonderful album. When Dire Straits played Austin on that tour, they played in an old National Guard armory that held 2000-2500 people. A very special show.Pierre: Is that the EB album that has "Wings of a Nightingale"? That's a heck of a good record -- we listened to it all the time. I used to sing "More Than I Can Handle" to our toddler!
Yep, that's the one.
Hang on, I got that wrong. Too much wine at lunch. The album you refer to was just called "The Everly Brothers". "Born Yesterday" also had on it "Arms of Mary", "Always Drive a Cadillac", "You Send Me" and others.
