Gram Parsons heard Emmylou Harris singing in a Washington, D.C. folk club and asked her to join his band and record with him. Parsons looms large the single biggest influence on her early records.

It's amazing! Her voice hasn't changed in 35 years!
One of my favorite songs ever. As I watched this video I found myself missing my long brown hair that looked so much in the 70s like hers here...and I wondered if she ever misses hers in spite of the ravishing gray it turned into.
